This performance will include pieces from our recent program for strings and clarinet inspired by the French music and musicians who found their home in the young United States in the late 18th century including a clarinet quartet by one of the most important clarinetists of the day, and a string quartet by a composer who was arguably more popular than Haydn in his own time. And we might throw in some Mozart just for fun…
PLEASE NOTE: this will NOT be a full presentation of our Émigré program, but you’ll hear some of the same music! If you want to catch the whole thing, please check out our other events!
The 40 minute long lunchtime program is free and open to the public.
